README Organizer

I created a hands-on guide to building Agent Skills and built a skill to help make project READMEs clearer.

How to Build Skills

This is a hands-on course I created about teaching AI coding agents to follow repeatable workflows. In eight short lessons, I walk through planning a skill, writing clear instructions, adding scripts and references, testing behavior, and sharing the result.

I included three working examples, two starting templates, and a Python validator that separates structural errors from suggestions for improving a skill. I use README Organizer as a case study to show how I test and improve a real skill.

README Organizer

I built README Organizer to help turn a finished repository into a project someone else can understand, install, and run. I designed it to adapt its README guidance to the project type and check documented commands and local links against the code.

For an existing README, I have it propose concrete edits in a separate suggestions file, so changes that are ready to make stay separate from missing assets and decisions that need the author’s input. I also included a Python checker to flag issues such as nonexistent npm scripts, missing local files, and mismatched clone URLs.
